Last night, Jerry Smith Jr. from Baltimore City Rescue 1 led a Rapid Intervention Team Operations class during the weekly company drill. Jerry is a member of the Fort and visits several times a year to assist with training. His expertise and real-world experience are highly valuable, and his dedication to the training program is greatly appreciated.

The training focused on gear removal, firefighter packaging, techniques for removing an unconscious firefighter from a roof or balcony, plunge cutting with a reciprocating saw, and maintaining mental performance during emergencies.
