Communictions / Company Officer Ops - Weekly Company Drill

Last night, FWFC members went over portable radio use, operation and company officer operations. The goal was to allow everyone time to use our portable radios and go over what company officers need to know / do when riding the front seat of the apparatus. The attached video shows a simple communications drill. We have members in two different locations with the same (4) items. One group (Engine 88) describes the items they have and how they are laid out to the 2nd group (Tower 88). They are required to use the sides of the building to describe and orientate the items. Once they complete describing the layout, we compare the equipment in each location to ensure they have it correctly.
During the company officer portion of last nights training, members went over our map books, digital mapping, radio channels or operating within our first due along with responding to mutual aid.
