Montgomery County Large Diameter Hose Strike Team: On Monday night, our training focused on operating as part of the LDH Strike Team

This team consists of various fire companies within Montgomery County and has one core mission-To effectively deliver a minimum of 1,000 gallons per minute over a distance of at least one mile and to ensure an adequate and consistent water supply to sustain fire-fighting operations for extended durations. The team has Standard Operating Guidelines that address equipment, operations, specific situations and communications. For the drill, we used 4 engines and ran through a typical scenario, focusing on the proper sequence of setting up a relay. The Strike Team has operated at numerous large scale fires over the years.
