- Approximately $60,000 was raised to fund the memorial - The FWFC fire mark was created for this purpose and we still sell them to this day. Advertising and donor levels were sold for the program book, and we received generous donations from community members and businesses.
- The granite and the bronze statue alone cost approximately $30,000. The remaining funds, once the project was complete, were put into a separate, non-operating account for the perpetual upkeep of the Memorial.
- The black granite used was imported from Thailand by Guest and Williams, Inc.
- The Bronze statue was made by Bush Pattern Works out of Reading, Pennsylvania.
- The Artist who created the statue was Angelo Di Maria.
- The firefighter in the statue was made with member Bill Gouak’s image, the baby that is being held is an image the artist’s grand-daughter, and the lantern was an original lantern used by the FWFC.
- The original site survey was conducted by Charles Shoemaker, Inc. and the Corinthian Organization.
- Construction work to prepare the site was done by fire company members led by Jim Sharkey and Mike Duffy.
- Ambler Coal donated the steel reinforcement rods and Allied concrete donated the concrete for the footers. The stone pavers were purchased at Landis Block and Concrete in Souderton. De Christopher Brothers Memorials out of Philadelphia installed the granite pieces. A time capsule with pictures (and other things) was placed inside the hollow centerpiece of the memorial underneath the bronze statue.
In 2021, the old gong from the Summit Avenue station was restored and hung by Anderson Welding and installed next to the Memorial.
In 2022, a single-masted, nautical flagpole was installed during Work Sunday to display the American flag, a POW flag, and the FWFC flag.
In 2023, additional pavers were installed to tie-in the gong and the flagpole to the memorial. In addition, lighting upgrades and re-wiring were done by member Lee Champlain.
Five new wreath’s were made, one for each season, as well as an additional wreath to display during Christmas. The wreaths were designed and created by Halo & Honey Wreath Company of Glenside.
In 2025, member Matt Lesniak designed, welded and painted a new wreath stand for the front of the Memorial to display the new wreaths. In addition, a granite monument was designed and purchased from De Christopher Brothers Memorials out of Rockledge and installed under the gong.
Landscaping around the Memorial was re-designed and installed under the direction of member Pete Williams.
The Memorial upgrades and re-dedication would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Memorial Committee led by member Ed Hurt, Jr.
