Good Bye Unit 41-71
As many know, in September 2021, a tornado hit Upper Dublin, causing significant damage to the Township building and police station

Since that time, we have housed the police department’s SWAT truck in our main station behind our rescue truck. Our brothers and sisters in blue secretly loved this arrangement because it gave them an excuse to hang around the firehouse even more than usual and some of our members liked it because they could play dress-up.
With the police department set to move into their new station on Friday, the truck has finally departed from its home for the past four years for its new cozy bay on Loch Alsh Avenue. In the fire service, there is a long-standing tradition of housing new apparatus by “pushing” the new truck into the station. We only thought it was fitting that we hold a formal “De-Housing” ceremony by pushing this beast out of our station, so we did just that! Farewell 41-71, good luck in your new home! Now to decide what to do with all of our new space…..
