February 28, 2019

On Tuesday February 27th Station 7 (Wissahickon) was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm on Butler Ave. The incident was upgraded to a commercial building fire which added Engine and Tower 88. While units were responding county radio advised Chief 7 that they were receiving multiple calls and police had heavy smoke showing. Chief 7 requested the remainder of Station 88 be added and a 2nd alarm was dispatched shortly after. Engine 88 stretched (2) hose lines into the building in coordination with Engine 7-4. Tower 88's crew split into an inside and outside team. Tower 88's inside team assisted the engine companies as well as completing the primary search on the first floor. Tower 88's outside team deployed multiple portable ladders and assisted on the roof.
