| We have received a few inquiries recently about our new member process, so we decided to do several posts over the next few days outlining the process |

| The first step of the process is "New Member Orientation." Orientation for our new members dates back decades. Many of our older members can remember guys like George Haggar and Marlin Miller running this program back in the day. Currently, we typically hold the program once we have a group of new members in the organization. The orientation is divided into two parts and the overall objective is to familiarize new members with our organization and provide a forum to ask questions. Part one covers topics such as our history, our mission & vision statements, bylaws, operational & admin officers, policies, eligibility requirements and expectations. Part two covers our apparatus, FWFC riding assignments, dispatch procedures and our accountability system. At the conclusion of the new member orientation, members are provided their new member packets, which we will cover in a future post. |
