The Fort Washington Fire Company, with help from the Upper Dublin Township Police, will be escorting Santa Claus through town on Sunday, December 21st starting at 5pm.
🎄 What is the Santa Run? It’s a beloved tradition across U.S. fire departments: Santa hops aboard a fire engine before Christmas and tours the community, giving families a chance to wave hello before he heads back to the North Pole to prepare for his big night.
🗺️ Where will Santa travel? Santa’s sleigh (aka fire engine 🚒) will follow three magical routes:
• Dasher
• Prancer
• Blitzen
All begin at the same time! While we can’t visit every street, the routes are carefully planned to pass through or near every neighborhood. Families may need to bundle up 🧣🧤 and head to the nearest road to catch a glimpse. Maps of the three routes are included in this post.
📱 How will you know when Santa is near? We’ll be using the Glympse app again this year! On the night of the run, links for each route will be posted on our Facebook page so you can track Santa in real time. And trust us—you’ll hear us coming 🔔🎶.
💡 Sensory-Friendly Zones - For families with sensory concerns, we’ve created lights & siren-free zones:
• Upper Dublin High School’s Performance Arts Center parking lot (Fort Washington Ave)
• Queen of Peace Church parking lot (Fitzwatertown Rd)
Santa will visit these locations right at 5pm.
🚨 In Case of Emergency - The fire company will remain on duty during the Santa Run. If we need to respond to an emergency, updates will be posted on our Facebook page with any delays or alternate plans.
