While our Fire Police were assisting at the Upper Dublin High School graduation, the company and mutual aid units from Roslyn and Edgehill were dispatched to the 1000 block of Fitzwatertown Road for a reported house fire around 7:40 PM. Engine 88-1 arrived with smoke showing from the eaves and deployed a handline to the basement via the bilco doors while being suppled by Squad 500. Fire was located in the basement and first floor and all crews worked to extinguish the fire and open the floor to expose hidden fire. All searches were negative and units cleared the scene around 9PM. Great job by the crew from Community Ambulance Association, Ambler who worked to revive 2 cats suffering from smoke inhalation. Following this call, the company handled 2 additional calls in the Township.
