Police and fire have been handling a large number of gas and electrical emergencies on At 1814hrs, units operating on the 2nd floor of 900 Jennifer Drive (Dublin Terrace) observed lights moving and yelling from across the train tracks at the Allied Recycling Center. Upper Dublin PD sent a car and came upon three walking wounded in and around the area under the PA Turnpike bridge. When approached, they said they were in line waiting to dump when the trucks started to shake, debris started to move around them, and one masonry-type building collapsed. UDPD located one site worker, and he said there were (6) equipment operators, two officer workers and a RV with a family that he couldn't locate, and cell service was down, so he couldn't call them. Units split into multiple squads and utilized a K9, GPS mapping and other methods to methodically search the area for live and simulated deceased victims. |
