Burn Brae Station Renovation Project to Begin

January 29, 2016

Starting in February, the Fort Washington Fire Company’s Burn Brae Station (88B) will undergo a much needed renovation. The Burn Brae Station, built in 1974, houses Engine 88-1, Squad 88-1 (delivered in 2015), Special Service 88 and Marine 88-1 & 88-3. Fifteen members respond from this station.

The renovation includes the addition of an engine bay, bunk rooms and showers. There will also be upgrades to the member’s area (sitting area and kitchen), radio room, HVAC system, lighting and back-up generator.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in mid to late summer.

During construction, the Burn Brae Station will be in service with Squad 88-1. The remaining trucks will be housed at our main station on Fort Washington Avenue.

The officers and members of the Fort Washington Fire Company would like to thank the Upper Dublin Board of Commissioners, Upper Dublin Township staff and the residents of Upper Dublin for their continued support.
