Fort and Harmonville Train On Large Vehicle Rescue

November 9, 2015

At least once a year, Fort Washington and Harmonville get together for a vehicle rescue drill, as both companies run a busy stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. On Monday night, we met at Janeway Towing and worked on two scenarios. Scenario 1 was a school bus on top of a car. Our Paratech Interstate Struts and winch on Rescue 88 were used to stabilize the bus and members then worked on the car. The second scenario was an "under ride" where a car drove under the rear of a school bus. After both scenarios were completed, we reviewed the tactics utilized and spent some time using various tools on one of the busses. Thanks to Harmonville for setting the drill up and to Janeway, who has been extremely supportive of our training initiatives.
