Pumper trucks pump water to put out fires.  Keep safely away from them when they are in action.

 

Quiz yourself to make sure that you know what to do in case of a fire.

 

Remember to practice your family fire escape plan often.

 

Stop, drop and roll if your clothes catch fire.  Cover your face with your hands.

 

Test smoke detectors in your home once a month with your parents.

 

Unplug small appliances when no one is using them.  Ask your parents to do this--never do it yourself.

 

Visit the fire station to learn how firefighters help you.

 

Warn adults about any fire hazards you see.

 

Be an e Xample for others by staying fire safe.
