On Tuesday April 20, 2004 at 5:16am station 88 & 7 were dispatched
for a vehicle rescue on Bethlehem pike at Inverness drive. Squad
88 Arrived on location to find a single vehicle facing south in the
north bound shoulder of Bethlehem pike. The vehicle had hit a
telephone pole head on. Crews stabilized the vehicle and removed
the roof., then assisted ambler ambulance in removing the patient.
Extrication time was 19 minutes after arrival. Engine 7-3 setup
the landing zone for Penn Star 1 and the patient was flown to a trauma
center.
